We applied attenuated total expression Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy to establish a fast and straightforward solution to evaluate consumption of sugar and release associated with metabolite lactate into the culture news, processes being involving structure development. Using a number of criteria, we showed by principal component analysis (PCA) that ATR-FTIR data surely could differentiate tradition media with varying quantities of glucose and lactate. The 2nd derivative spectra displayed specific peaks of sugar at 1035 cm-1 and lactate at 1122 cm-1, and both the spectral first principal component (PC-1) ratings together with 1122/1035 top ratio very strongly correlated with all the concentration of these components.
